LawZam Announces Launch of Video Conferencing Web Application for Free Legal Consultations

LawZam recently announced a new video conferencing web application to further improve interaction between consumers and lawyers. The new web application will further build on the company’s already available platform, which is used in providing the general public with free “face-to-face” online legal consultations.

In a release, Claudio Dunkelman, co-founder LawZam, said that, “LawZam is like speed dating for the legal world. Our unique platform gives you the ability to have a video chat with a lawyer, and continue the conversation it meets your expectation. If not, you are able to initiate chats with different lawyers through the site until you find one that fits your needs. Most legal problems are too complicated to be automated. Areas like criminal and injury law require personal counselling, and our video conference technology helps to establish a level of trust.”

LawZam is different from other online legal services, which provide consumers with support in preparing and filing legal documents. The LawZam service was essentially created to provide consumers with initial free legal consultations from established and participating attorneys. The website, which uses advertising revenue to support its free service, is planning on introducing premium services in the future.

Licensed attorneys can register with the website and set up a profile which also allows them to increase visibility for their practice and is an effective option for reaching out to new clients. Individual lawyers and small law firms struggling within a highly competitive legal market are welcome to register and join the LawZam service platform. The LawZam service is particularly ideal for new law school graduates seeking to find a foothold in an economy where hiring by law firms has seen a dip. Using the exposure that the LawZam service provides, new law graduates can begin their practice, connect with clients, and advertise their services to a bigger client pool.

Users of the LawZam website can use their Mac or PC to video conference without the need for any downloads. The only essential is availability of a high-speed Internet connection and a webcam.
